Customize the look of Revolt and Edgenuity with light and dark modes
Themes
Revolt supports Light and Dark themes that apply to both the Revolt sidebar and the Edgenuity page itself.
Switching Themes
Toggle between light and dark mode from the Revolt sidebar header. Your preference is saved and synced across devices.
Theme Modes
Light Mode
The default theme with a clean, bright appearance:
- White/light gray backgrounds
- Dark text
- Blue accent colors (
#007AFF)
Dark Mode
A dark theme that reduces eye strain:
- Dark gray backgrounds (
#242526) - White text
- Blue accent colors (
#0A84FF)
Edgenuity Page Sync
When you switch themes in Revolt, the entire Edgenuity page is also themed to match. Dark mode applies custom styles to:
- Navigation bar — Dark background with matching borders
- Cards and tiles — Dark card backgrounds with white text
- Course map — Dark activity tiles and progress labels
- Sidebar navigation — Dark background with themed links
- Buttons — Blue accent buttons matching Revolt's theme
- Progress bars and toolbars — Custom gradient styling
- Edgenuity logo — Inverted for visibility on dark backgrounds
The page theme syncs in real-time. Switching themes while on an Edgenuity page will immediately update the page's appearance.
Theme Persistence
- Theme preference is stored locally in browser storage
- Synced to the Revolt backend via the Settings Sync service
- Persists across page refreshes and browser restarts
- Can be saved as part of a Preset
Tips
- Dark mode is recommended for late-night sessions to reduce eye strain
- Theme changes are reflected in the Stats tab and all other sidebar tabs
- If the page theme looks broken after switching, refresh the page once
