How to install the Revolt userscript on your computer or phone for Edgenuity, EdgeX, Edmentum, Subject, FLVS, and Brightspace
Installation Guide
Revolt is a userscript. One install covers every supported platform: classic Edgenuity, EdgeX, the Nova player, Edmentum, Subject, FLVS, and Brightspace at TRECA Digital Academy. The script detects which platform you open and shows only the features that work there.
The RevoltX browser extension is no longer available from the Chrome Web Store. Everything it did on EdgeX, Edmentum, Subject, FLVS, and Brightspace now runs in the userscript. If you still have RevoltX installed, remove it and install the script below so the two don't run at the same time.

Desktop Installation
The userscript works on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, and any other browser that supports a userscript manager. Chromebooks work wherever your school allows the Tampermonkey extension.
Step 1: Install a Userscript Manager
Install one of these browser extensions:

Step 2: Allow Userscripts (Chrome and Edge)
Tampermonkey on Chrome and Edge needs Developer mode turned on before it can run scripts:
- Open
chrome://extensions(oredge://extensions) - Turn on Developer mode (top-right on Chrome, bottom-left on Edge)
- Click the Tampermonkey icon in your toolbar and choose Enable userscripts if it asks
Firefox does not need this step.
Step 3: Install the Revolt Script
Visit revolt.ly/download and click Download Script
Tampermonkey will open a new tab showing the script details
Click the Install button in Tampermonkey
The script is now installed and runs automatically on every supported platform
The userscript auto-updates. You don't need to reinstall when new versions are released.
Step 4: Authenticate Your License
Revolt supports two authentication methods:
License Key (One-time purchase)
- Open your course on any supported platform
- Enter your license key when prompted
- Your key is linked to that platform account
Account Linking (Subscription)
- Log in to your Revolt account at revolt.ly
- Open your course and click Login with Account on the Revolt screen

Step 5: Start Using Revolt
Once authenticated, open your course and log in. Revolt activates on its own and the sidebar appears. Platform notes are on the Supported Platforms page, with setup details for Subject, FLVS, and Brightspace.
Mobile Installation
Phones run the same userscript. Mobile is built and tested for classic Edgenuity; the script also loads on the other platforms, but they are much less tested on phones and some may not work there. Mobile is less reliable than a computer, so use one when you can.
Pick your phone:
- iPhone or iPad uses the Focus app
- Android uses Firefox with the Violentmonkey add-on
iPhone and iPad (Focus)
Use the Focus app to run Revolt on your iPhone or iPad.
Download the Revolt script from revolt.ly/download
Install the Focus app from the App Store
Open the Focus app
Tap the 3 lines in the bottom right corner
Tap Script
Tap the 3 dots in the top right corner
Tap Import from files
Select the Revolt file you downloaded
Go to Edgenuity in Focus — Revolt is now active!
Android (Firefox and Violentmonkey)
Chrome on Android cannot run Revolt. Chrome for Android does not support add-ons. Do every step below in Firefox.
Get Firefox
Install Firefox for Android from Google Play. If you are reading this in Chrome, open this page in Firefox before continuing (the download page has a Copy page link button for this).
Add Violentmonkey
In Firefox, open Violentmonkey on Firefox Add-ons, then:
- Tap Add to Firefox
- Tap Add when Firefox asks for permission
Install the Revolt script
In Firefox, open revolt.ly/download?method=android and tap Install Script (this opens cdn.revolt.ly/loader.user.js in Violentmonkey).
- Violentmonkey opens a page showing the REVOLT script
- Tap Install
If the file just downloads instead, you are not in Firefox, or Violentmonkey is not turned on. Check that it is enabled under the menu (three dots) → Extensions, then tap Install Script again.
Open Edgenuity in Firefox
Go to Edgenuity in Firefox and log in. Revolt activates automatically.
Verifying Installation
After installation:
- Open your course: Edgenuity, EdgeX, Edmentum, Subject (
app.subject.com), FLVS (vsa.flvs.net), or Brightspace (tda.brightspace.com) - Log in to your student account
- The Revolt sidebar should appear automatically

Updating
The userscript updates itself. Tampermonkey checks for new versions on its own, and the script also loads the latest release when a course page opens, so you are always current.
Uninstalling
- Click the Tampermonkey (or Violentmonkey) icon in your toolbar
- Go to Dashboard
- Find REVOLT and click the trash icon
On iPhone or iPad, remove the script from the Focus app's Script list.
