REVOLT

Subject

Automate Subject.com (app.subject.com) with RevoltX

Subject.com

Revolt supports Subject — the video-first curriculum at app.subject.com, including district-assigned classes, credit recovery, and Subject Virtual School.

Subject requires the RevoltX browser extension. The classic Edgenuity userscript does not run on app.subject.com.

Quick Start

Install RevoltX

Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store (Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium browsers). Full steps are on the Installation page.

Open Subject

Log into app.subject.com and open a course. Revolt detects the platform automatically and shows the sidebar.

Activate

Enter your license key, or link your Subject account if you have a Revolt subscription.

Enable features

Turn on Auto Instructions, Auto Exam, and Auto Advance from the sidebar. That combination covers videos, quizzes, writing, and moving to the next lesson.

Supported Features

Features that do not apply on Subject are hidden from the sidebar automatically.

Auto Advance

On Subject, Auto Advance is lesson-based rather than Edgenuity's activity-frame model.

  • On Home (/home) — Revolt loads your courses and asks which one to run. It then opens that course and starts advancing.
  • Already in a lesson — It watches for Next lesson / Go to next lesson and clicks it when the current lesson is done.
  • Score pending / submitted — It waits for the lesson to actually finish instead of skipping a still-open assignment.

Enable it together with Auto Instructions and Auto Exam so there is something to complete before it advances.

Auto Exam (Quizzes)

Subject has two quiz shapes. Auto Exam handles both:

Interactive quizzes grade each pick the moment you click it. Revolt only clicks an option when the database or AI actually produced it. A miss is recoverable — Subject offers Retry, and the eliminated option (plus any hint) is sent back for a corrected answer.

Classic quizzes are answered in bulk, submitted, then scored. If Auto Retry is on and the score is too low, Revolt uses Review and Retake (not See Answers).

Never click See Answers

On Subject, See Answers forfeits the remaining attempt — the retake disappears. Auto Exam is built to avoid that button. If you click it yourself, you cannot retake.

Also supported:

  • Fill-in-the-blank questions (the coordinates of P are ( __, __ ))
  • Image-only construction questions (diagrams with no option text)
  • Standalone assessments that are not served from a /lesson/ URL

If a question cannot be answered, submit is gated and the UI names it ("Answered 4/5 — Question 4 needs you") instead of handing in a blank.

See Auto Exam for Default / Instant modes, Auto Retry, Accuracy Range, and AI fallback.

Auto Instructions and Auto Assignment

Subject is video-first. Auto Instructions (and Auto Assignment, which shares the same engine) will:

  • Play lesson videos at the speed preset you pick
  • Advance when the lesson video is done
  • Fill written responses and multi-question coursework forms
  • Generate and submit Subject projects from the prompt

Video Speed

The Video Speed control in the Auto Instructions / Auto Assignment accordion:

PresetInternal Rate
Normal1x
5x20x (default)
10x30x
20x40x

Same presets as EdgeX. Start at 5x unless you have a reason to go faster.

Account Linking

Linking a Subject account works the same as Edgenuity:

  1. Log into app.subject.com with RevoltX active
  2. Click Login with Account (subscription) or enter a license key
  3. Confirm on revolt.ly/link

Linked Subject accounts show a Subject badge in the Dashboard. Full walkthrough: Link Your Account.

Tips

  • The finish-fast stack on Subject is Auto Instructions + Auto Exam + Auto Advance
  • Use moderate delays and video speed — finishing a semester in one sitting is how people get flagged
  • Accuracy Range keeps quiz scores in a believable band instead of a wall of 100s
  • Subject is a single-page app. If something looks stuck after switching activities, toggle the feature off and on, or refresh
  • One Revolt key covers Subject, Edmentum, Edgenuity, and EdgeX
