Having issues with Revolt? Find solutions to common problems below.

Extension Issues

Extension Not Loading

Make sure you have Developer Mode enabled in your browser's extension settings.

Symptoms:

  • Extension icon is grayed out
  • Sidebar doesn't appear when clicking the icon

Solutions:

  1. Reload the extension

    • Go to chrome://extensions or edge://extensions
    • Find Revolt and click the refresh icon
  2. Check if extension is enabled

    • Make sure the toggle is ON for the Revolt extension
  3. Reinstall the extension

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page - Press F5 or Ctrl+R

  2. Check the URL - Revolt only activates on Edgenuity domains:

    • *.edgenuity.com
    • *.edge-nuity.com
    • *.learn.edgenuity.com
  3. Disable conflicting extensions - Other automation extensions may conflict with Revolt


License Issues

Invalid License Key

Symptoms:

  • "Invalid key" error when activating
  • Features remain locked

Solutions:

  1. Check for typos - Copy-paste your key directly from your purchase email

  2. Verify key status - Visit revolt.ly/key to check your license

  3. Check expiration - Your key may have expired

  4. Contact support - If issues persist, reach out on Discord

License Not Syncing

Solutions:

  1. Log out and back in - Settings → Log Out, then log back in

  2. Clear extension data

    • Right-click the extension icon
    • Click "Manage extension"
    • Clear site data

Feature Issues

Auto Quiz Not Working

Symptoms:

  • Quiz answers not appearing
  • "No answers found" message

Solutions:

  1. Wait for the quiz to fully load - Some quizzes take time to initialize

  2. Check your internet connection - Answer lookup requires an active connection

  3. Try Default Mode first - Instant Exam mode may not work on all quiz types

  4. Report missing answers - If answers aren't found, they may not be in our database yet

Auto Advance Not Progressing

Solutions:

  1. Check activity type - Some activities require manual completion

  2. Verify settings

    • Open Settings in the sidebar
    • Check that Auto Advance is set to your preferred mode
  3. Check for blocking elements - Pop-ups or modals may block advancement

Auto Assignment Stuck

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page - Sometimes the frame state gets corrupted

  2. Complete one question manually - This can "unstick" the automation

  3. Check for interactive elements - Drag-drop or drawing activities aren't supported


Performance Issues

Extension Running Slowly

Solutions:

  1. Close unnecessary tabs - Each Edgenuity tab runs Revolt

  2. Disable unused features - Turn off features you're not using

  3. Update your browser - Ensure you're on the latest version

  4. Check system resources - Close other heavy applications

High CPU Usage

Solutions:

  1. Disable video-related features - Video dimmer and mute can be CPU-intensive

  2. Reduce active features - Only enable what you need


Connection Issues

"Unable to Connect to Server"

Solutions:

  1. Check your internet - Ensure you have an active connection

  2. Check API status - Our servers may be undergoing maintenance

  3. Disable VPN - Some VPNs block our API endpoints

  4. Check firewall - Ensure api.revolt.ly is not blocked

Answers Taking Too Long

Solutions:

  1. Check your connection speed - Slow internet affects lookup time

  2. Try again later - Server load varies throughout the day
