Automate instructions, vocabulary, language, and journal activities

Auto Content

This page covers the automation features for content-based activities: Auto Instructions, Auto Vocabulary, Auto Language, and Auto Journal.

Auto Instructions

Automatically skips introductions and forces video playback on instruction activities, advancing through frames without manual clicks.

How It Works

  • Skips intro screens and visual blockers
  • Forces video elements to play at maximum speed
  • Automatically advances to the next frame when content completes
  • Handles practice questions within instruction activities

Widget

A countdown widget appears showing when the next frame advance will occur.

EdgeX Video Speed (Extension Only)

When using the browser extension on EdgeX (student.ex.edgenuity.com), you can configure video playback speed:

PresetInternal Rate
5x20x (default)
10x30x
20x40x

This option appears in the Auto Instructions accordion when on EdgeX.

Auto Vocabulary

Automatically completes vocabulary activities by processing each word and advancing through the list.

How It Works

  • Detects vocabulary activity frames
  • Automatically processes each word/definition
  • Clicks through required interactions
  • Advances to the next word with configurable delays

Widget

A progress widget shows the current word being processed.

Auto Language

Automatically completes language activities (formerly called "Language Bypass").

How It Works

  • Detects language-type activities
  • Automatically fills in responses
  • Submits answers with a countdown timer displayed via widget

Widget

A countdown widget shows the time remaining before the answer is submitted. The default delay range is 5–10 seconds for language activities.

Auto Journal

Automatically completes journal activities using AI-generated responses.

How It Works

  • Detects journal activity prompts
  • Generates contextually appropriate responses using AI
  • Enters the response into the journal editor
  • Submits the journal entry

Widget

A status widget displays while the journal content is being generated.

Auto InstructionsNext Frame Delay1–3 sec
Auto InstructionsPractice Question Delay2–5 sec
Auto LanguageSubmit Delay5–10 sec

See the Advanced Controls page for full delay configuration details.

Tips

  • Enable Auto Instructions alongside Skip Intro for the fastest instruction completion
  • Use moderate delays for vocabulary and language activities to appear more natural
  • Auto Journal requires an active internet connection for AI content generation
  • Combine any of these with Auto Advance to chain through multiple activities automatically
