Auto Assignment
Automatically complete assignments using the answer database
Auto Assignment
Auto Assignment automatically completes writing assignments, worksheets, and other assignment-type activities by looking up answers from the Revolt database.
How It Works
When you navigate to an assignment activity with Auto Assignment enabled, Revolt will:
- Detect the assignment type and load the questions
- Look up answers from the database
- Fill in responses automatically
- Submit the assignment when complete
A progress widget is displayed during processing showing the current status.
Configuration Options
Use AI
Controls how Revolt handles questions that don't have answers in the database.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Always | Automatically uses AI to generate answers for missing questions |
| Always Ask | Shows a modal asking you to choose when answers are missing (default) |
AI-generated answers are used as a fallback when the answer database doesn't contain a match. The quality may vary depending on the question type.
Supported Activity Types
Auto Assignment works with most standard Edgenuity assignment types including:
- Written response assignments
- Fill-in-the-blank worksheets
- Short answer activities
- Multi-frame assignments
Interactive elements like drag-and-drop or drawing activities are not supported. If the automation gets stuck, try completing one question manually to "unstick" it, or refresh the page.
EdgeX Video Speed (Extension Only)
When using the browser extension on EdgeX (student.ex.edgenuity.com), assignments may contain video content. You can configure video playback speed:
| Preset | Internal Rate |
|---|---|
| 5x | 20x (default) |
| 10x | 30x |
| 20x | 40x |
This option appears in the Auto Assignment accordion when on EdgeX.
Tips
- Combine with Auto Advance to automatically move to the next activity after the assignment is complete
- Use the Advanced Controls to fine-tune frame advance delays and submit delays for assignments
- If an assignment gets stuck, refresh the page and try again
