REVOLT

Work Hours

Limit Revolt's automation to the days and times you choose, in your browser or in Cloud Completion

Work Hours

Work Hours lets you pick the days and times Revolt is allowed to work. Outside those hours the automation waits quietly, then picks back up on its own when your window opens. It is handy if you want your activity to line up with a normal school day instead of running around the clock.

There are two versions, depending on how you run Revolt:

WhereWho it is forSet it up
Browser work hoursThe extension and the userscript, running in your own tabThe Work Hours panel in the sidebar
Cloud work hoursCloud Completion ordersThe Work hours step when you order, or the order page afterwards

The two are separate. Browser work hours do not affect cloud orders, and a cloud order's work hours do not affect your browser.

Browser Work Hours

Set it up

Open the Revolt sidebar and expand the Advanced section. It is collapsed by default.

Find the Work Hours panel and turn it on.

Pick your days with the Mon to Sun chips. Tap a chip to switch that day on or off.

Set a Start and an End time.

The default is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A summary line under the controls shows what you picked, for example "Mon–Fri · 8:00 AM–3:00 PM".

Times use your computer's local time, so there is no timezone to choose.

How windows work

SetupWhat happens
Start earlier than endRuns between those times on each day you picked
End earlier than startAn overnight window. It starts on the day you picked and runs into the next morning (for example 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM)
Start equal to endAll day on the days you picked
Shorter than 1 hourNot valid. The panel shows an error, and Revolt treats the setting as if work hours were off until you fix it

What happens outside your hours

Only the automation features pause:

  • Auto Advance
  • Auto Quiz / Auto Exam
  • Auto Assignment
  • Auto Essay
  • Auto Project
  • Auto Journal
  • Auto Instructions
  • Auto Vocabulary
  • Auto Language

Everything else keeps running as normal, including Anti Logout, Allow Tab Out, Mute Audio, Privacy Shield, and the rest of the utility features.

Your feature toggles are not switched off. They stay on, and the automation starts again by itself when your hours begin. You never have to turn anything back on.

While paused you will see:

  • A notice on the page: Paused — outside work hours, with when it resumes (for example "Resumes Mon 8:00 AM"). The weekday only shows when the next window is not today.
  • A status line in the menu header: Work hours · paused until 8:00 AM while closed, and Work hours · on until 3:00 PM while open.

Changes you make to your schedule apply right away, and so does turning Work Hours on or off.

Extension vs userscript

ExtensionUserscript
Pauses and resumes automationYesYes
Wakes the course tab when your hours startYes. If Chrome put the tab to sleep, the extension reloads itNo. It only resumes while the tab is open
Opens new tabsNoNo

Browser work hours do not open anything for you. For the extension to resume at the start time, the browser must be open and the course tab must still be open. If you want Revolt to run without your computer, use Cloud Completion instead.

Sync, presets, and Remote Control

  • Syncs with your account. Your schedule follows you across devices, and between the extension and the userscript.
  • Presets keep your schedule. Loading a preset that does not include work hours leaves your current schedule alone. If a preset does include one, it is applied.
  • Control page. The Control page shows whether the selected tab is inside or outside your work hours, and you can view and change your schedule there. This works for tabs running the extension and signed in with Login with Account.
  • Cloud runner. Browser work hours are ignored by the cloud runner.

Cloud Work Hours

When you order Cloud Completion, you can limit when the cloud browser works on your classes.

Cloud work hours need an email and password sign-in. They are not available on orders made with a Browser Session link, which run any time.

Set it on a new order

On the order page, use the optional Work hours step. You can choose a quick preset or set your own:

PresetDaysHours
School hoursMon to Fri8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
After schoolMon to Fri3:30 PM to 9:00 PM
WeekendsSat and Sun9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Or pick your own days, start and end times, and timezone. The same window rules as above apply: an end earlier than the start runs overnight, equal times mean all day, and the window must be at least 1 hour. Skip the step and your order runs any time, like before.

What happens outside your hours

  • Classes pause quietly. You do not get an email or Discord alert for a work-hours pause.
  • The order page shows Waiting for your work hours · resumes … with the next time it opens.
  • A class that is still queued shows Starts … with its first start time.
  • When your window opens, classes continue on their own from where they stopped.
  • A class you paused yourself stays paused. Work hours never resume it for you.

Run now

Need a class to go sooner? Press Run now (the usual Resume button) on a class while it is outside your hours. That class runs until your next window opens, then follows your schedule again.

Change or remove it later

Open the order from Completions in your dashboard and use the Work hours card to edit your schedule, or to add one to an order that did not have one. Remove work hours takes the schedule off the order, and any classes that were waiting resume right away.

Tips

  • Turn on Work Hours when you want activity that looks like a normal school day.
  • If automation seems stopped, check the menu header. Paused until … means it is waiting for your window, not that something broke.
  • For the extension, leave the browser and course tab open overnight if you want it to start at the first window of the day.
  • If you pick days but nothing ever runs, check that your start and end are at least 1 hour apart.
