Auto eNotes

Write short eNotes in your own words after each video section, from the lesson transcript and glossary

Auto eNotes

Auto eNotes takes notes for you on classic Edgenuity video lessons. When a video section finishes, Revolt writes a short note on what was covered and saves it to that lesson's eNotes, just like notes you typed yourself.

Auto eNotes is off by default. Turn it on from the sidebar, next to Auto Journal. It needs RevoltX 1.0.70 or the userscript 2.1.8 or newer.

How It Works

  1. Detects a video lesson that has an eNotes tab, and checks that eNotes are allowed and not read-only for that lesson
  2. Reads the lesson's transcript and glossary, the same text you see in the Transcript and Glossary tabs
  3. Waits for each video section to finish. A section counts once its frame is marked complete in the lesson toolbar
  4. Writes a short note for that section: a few lines in a student's words, with the key ideas and any glossary terms the section used
  5. Saves it to the lesson's eNotes. The eNotes tab opens so you can watch the note appear, and a toast confirms "eNote saved (section 1 of 3)"

The first note shows up about 10 to 20 seconds after the first video section ends. A lesson with three videos gets three notes, one after each video.

What It Will and Will Not Do

✅ One note per video sectionEach section is noted once, even if you reload or come back to the lesson
✅ Keeps your own notesNotes you wrote yourself are never edited or removed
✅ Survives moving onIf Auto Advance moves you to the next activity right after a video, that section's note is still saved
❌ No notes for skipped videosA section you skipped past without finishing does not get a note
❌ No notes where eNotes are offLessons where your teacher made eNotes read-only or unavailable are skipped

Every student's notes are worded a little differently. Your own notes keep a consistent style from lesson to lesson.

Work Hours

Auto eNotes is an automation feature, so Work Hours pauses it outside your hours. Notes for sections you finished are saved once your hours start again.

Tips

  • Keep Auto Instructions or Auto Advance on as usual. Auto eNotes never slows them down or holds up the next activity.
  • If a note does not appear in the eNotes tab straight away, reload the lesson. It was saved, and the list shows it after a reload.
  • Auto Advance also clicks through the eNotes step before moving on. That is separate from Auto eNotes and needs no setup.
